Brian Brown - Owner/Founder
I've used a straight razor since I was 15. I thought, if I was going to shave, I was going to make it fun!
In my 20's, I started restoring vintage razors. In my 30's, I thought it would be cool if I tried to make a razor. So, I sold some of my vintage razor collection. I built a grinder and forge, bought some steel and went to it. The first one looked razor'ish. By the 3rd one, I was contacted about making and selling them. I've been making and selling one of a kind custom razors ever since.
In 2014, I started to work on a plan to create a production line razor that would fit into more people's budget. In 2015, Brown Razor Works was launched.
I'm pleased to say that I personally heat treat, handgrind, scale and hone all razors in my workshop here in Middle Tennessee.
